Judo - the highest application of mind and body
Welcome to Walderslade Judo Club. If you are looking for a good judo club in the Medway and Maidstone area, then look no further. Walderslade Judo Club is one of Medway's largest and most successful judo clubs, with classes for all ages and abilities. Classes are available for all from the ages of 5 and upwards. We even have a fun taster class on the last Friday of the month for 3 & 4 year olds (see the Judo Classes page for details).
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced judoka already, you will always receive a warm welcome. We are a successful and active club run by a dedicated team of volunteers with fully qualified and very experienced Coaches and have international links with judo club's in France and Holland.
If you are thinking of starting judo for the first time, returning to the sport or just visiting and training with us and would like more information about the club and our class times, then have a look through the links at the top of this page or just email Eddie for more information.
See below for directions on how to find us.
After school hours the best way to find the club is to enter the schools complex via the rear entrance at the end of Bradfields Avenue. Once through the main gates, keep coming to the right for as far as you can. Just by the green army cadet hut you will see the green rear gates into the school. Come through these and along the corridor to your left and the Main Hall is just at the end of the corridor.
Judo was a one of our most successful events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and in November 2014, Commonwealth Games Silver medallist in the U81kg category, Tom Reed was with us in Walderslade for a special training event. To see Tom in action in the Commonwealth Games final have a look at the video below at the 6 minute 15 second mark.
Watch the video below, come along to the club one evening and begin your own journey
